In the new Olives shipped after June 2018:
As much as we tried to iron out every issue before we shipped the Olives, we have been notified of a few bugs present in the Olive. If there is a fix that can be applied through the App, we will promptly fix and update the App. However, the following are some of the bugs that are not fixable through the App. Inconvenient as they might be, we have provided a workaround to address these bugs. We apologize for the inconvenience.
1. The Olive is ON when removed from the dock
This is an issue that is seen inconsistently on some Olives. We are looking to fix this in future versions. However for now, when you remove the Olive from the Dock , if you are not planning to use the Olive, ensure that you turn OFF the Olive.
2. The Button on the Olive is not responsive.
This is a less common behavior that we have been notified of, button not responsive. When the button on the Olive is not responsive, the usual reason is because the Olive has 'panicked'. The solution is to place the Olive in the dock, wait for lights to blink/flash on the Olive and the Olive should work fine again.
3. The Volume level is not stored permanently.
If you change the volume level on the App and do NOT turn OFF the Olive before you place the Olive in the dock, when you restart the Olive, the Volume level reverts back to the value before you made a change.
For example. if the volume level is at 20%. You increase the volume level to 40%. After using the Olive for a while, you place the Olive in the charging dock. When you place the Olive in the dock, the Olive shuts down and is in charging mode. The next time you take the Olive out again and turn it ON, the volume level will be at 20%. The fix is to turn OFF the Olive before you place in the charging dock.
In Beta Olives:
1. The Olive is not responding:
If you press down & let go the button and real quick ( for less than 1 second), the Olive freezes. The button won't respond anymore, the LED won't respond and neither with Bluetooth. The only way to get the Olive to respond is by placing the Olive back in the dock for a few seconds (4-5 seconds). We are working to fix the bug. In the meantime, please refrain from doing quick, very short presses to avoid this issue.
