    I thought this was too good to be true, but I sent my money anyway. Fool me once....... Here it is 3 days into AUGUST, when they were supposed to be delivered in June. After being told on July 20 all were shipped. Now 2 weeks later no Olives. What happened to truth? Please either find my Olives or return my investment and I will order and buy a set of Eargo hearing aids. They are $100.00 more, but a t.v.g least they don't lie to their clients!!!!!

    Dude, relax! They are coming from Seoul. I've been there, and it's a long, long way from here. They are in LAX, and thanks to our red-tape laiden customs bureaucracy I would bet they spend most if your wait time there..thank your gubmint for keeping us all safe from hearing aids.

    Just got a message from support, all the US olives are tied up at LAX customs. Once again, the government red tape interferes with a health care device. Thanks Big Brother!!!!!!

    I suspect we've been mislead. We'll either not get ours or sets that won't work like their betas. I've more or less given up. Moreover, they don't even have the courtesy to reply your mails. SAD!

    Support told me exactly a week ago that 3000 Olive shipped as one unit to LAX(LA Int Airport the middle of July) are sotting at LAX waiting on clearamce from Costoms and the FDA because they are medical devices. So when Uncle Sam sees fit, he may clear our olives. I for one am not holding my breath.

    So what do we do now. Why ship from USA when they are made in Korea. Send us alternative new and tested olives from the factory

    If they had been shipped direct to customers, each would have to go through the inspection process separately. It would take longer, and it might be rejected completely. Many times when I buy from China, the package is marked "gift" or some other false category.

    Since Olive Union has never shipped or imported medical devices before, the inspection process will be extra intense. I'm not expecting anything for another month. Probably will get a pair of Eargo's to try also.

    Ha, tried an end run.  I contacted the night desk for US Customs and Border Patrol at LAX.  Asked him when they expected the FDA to do their job.  He said only way was to call the FDA.  Contacted FED EX, they said can't tell us anything without a tracking #.  Don't you wish you had a cushy government job, where nothing mattered except coming to work to collect your paycheck? Not even the needs of 3000 US citizens who need their medical devices?  Color me disgusted!!!

    I have an idea. Let us all contact our local Congressional Representative and ask them to look into this. Can the Olive Union people please give us some kind of shipment identification number to report? I usually have good results when going through my Representative.

    OK, here's new information.  I contacted the FDA Medical Devices division.  They told me that Olive Union DID register as the manufacturer of the product, which IS a wireless air conduction hearing Aid.   As such it is exempt from clearance under the 510K pre-approval import restriction as a class 2 medical device under the requirements of 874.3305.  So there is no reason for them to be tied up for 30 days at LAX awaiting clearance from the FDA.  We will wait some more...……………………………………………...

    just got off the phone with a Mr Walter XXXXXX of the FDA Medical devices Division.  He said that Olive Union very properly registered the Olives with the FDA as a medical Device but, the devices arewireless air conduction hearing aids and thus are exempt from the require3ments of 510K restrictions of inspection by the FDA.  

    He said that Olive Union has perhaps failed to designate a specific US entity as the importer responsible for accepting the shipment and conveying it to FED EX for transshipment.  Therefore the shipment languishes at LAX.  

    I have sent an email stating the above to Olive Union asking them to look into the matter so we can get our devices which now are 7 weeks late.

    From the FDA, Possible US contact for import contact is a Mr. Charles Mack in Arizona.  I have called his number, but had to leave a message.  I am about to send an email.

    SHIPPING UPDATE:

    We are answering each of your emails one by one. We are understaffed. So we are not able to reply on time to each customer promptly. We apologize :( .

    The update is, the Olives have been cleared by the US customs. Now the Olives are at the sorting facitlity. Within the next couple of days, the Olives will be sorted, barcoded and shipped. We should get the Tracking numbers by Monday/Tuesday (27th/28th Aug 2018, Korean Time) at which point we can give them to you.

    We understand your frustration having to wait for such a long time. But we couldnt hassle the US goverment. We subtmitted the required documents and had to wait. We couldnt rush them or force them. But we were working closely with the customs officials to get the issue sorted as quickly as we could. We are glad now the Olives will be shipped to you.

    It appears that the Olives have been released from US Customs in Los Angeles.  I received mine (I live in Los Angeles) two days ago.
